Horror Scene: preliminary task

statement of intent:
I plan to make a minute long film scene capturing the equilibrium transitioning into the disequilibrium of a horror movie. The scene is inspired by the film truth or dare which includes different types of sfx make up and editing on the characters. It will include enigma codes and to create tension prior to the jump scares and jump cuts that follow. there will be diegetic speech and non diegetic sound to affect the audience more than the actual characters including music and dialogue. The scene will take place in a bedroom to create a sense of realism.
Horror scenes create a strong sense of personal identity for audiences and a sense of discomfort within that. The most successful films in this genre put disequilibrium in a scene that reflects the target audiences reality. My target audience will be an even gender split and largely in the15-35 age bracket. They will likely be more middle class.
I intend to create an uncomfortable sense of reality in my film scene. The representations of women will be subverted as they are usually shown to be passive and the 'princess' according to the character theory.
